I finished a shift but my fares aren’t in yet
The short answer
That’s fine. End the shift with the fares blank. Today tells you that shift’s earnings aren’t in yet, and keeps reminding you until you add them.
Add them when they’re in
- On Today, tap Add earnings. It opens Shift History. In your first few shifts, Today shows a line instead, “1 logged shift isn’t counted yet”: tap that and it opens Shift History too.
On Today 2h 40m logged · earnings not in yet
What this is costing you
Your rate, your tax set-aside and your next ask are all waiting on this one number.
- Tap the shift, then ⋮ → Edit shift.
- Under Earnings by platform, enter the running day total each app shows. Leave apps you didn’t use blank.
- Tap Save Changes.
Why does it matter?
Until the fares are in, the shift is left out of your $/hr, and your tax set-aside and next target can’t include it.
I really earned nothing
For today’s shift, Today shows I really earned $0 next to Add earnings. Tap it: the reminder stops, and the shift counts as $0 in your $/hr.
For an earlier shift, and in your first few shifts, there’s no such button yet, and typing $0 in Edit shift doesn’t mark it either. The shift stays out of your $/hr until fares are added, so if it really earned nothing, your $/hr reads higher than it was.
My shift went past midnight or 4am
Each app starts a new day at its own time: Uber at 4am, Bolt and DiDi at midnight. If your shift crossed it, the form offers to split that app’s fares.
