How do I add fuel, and what does the app do with it?
The short answer
Tap + on Today, then Log a fill-up (Log a charge for an electric car). Enter the amount and total cost, and the odometer if you have it. Your own price replaces the national average from your first one.
Petrol or diesel
- Tap + at the top of Today, then Log a fill-up.
- Enter Litres and Total cost (NZD). The odometer is optional: left blank, it fills from your latest shift.
- Tap Save fillup.
Once your fill-ups cover 1,000 km, WorthMile measures your car’s own fuel use and uses it instead of the typical figure.
Electric
- Tap + at the top of Today, then Log a charge.
- Enter kWh charged and Total cost (NZD).
- Tap Save charge session.
Until you log a charge, WorthMile uses an estimated price per kWh. To use your own before then, open Settings → Vehicle and set What you pay to charge.
Fuel for another car
This version tracks one car. You can use an owned, leased or rented car, but switching to another car isn’t supported yet, so fuel for another car can’t be recorded.
